29.5cms W x 41.8cms H - 'Butterfly Kisses' - A Ulysses butterfly lands on the nose of Indigo, the giraffe, to give the most delicate of kisses - a butterfly kiss. Barely touching, you almost don't know it's happening, so ethereal does it feel. Indigo loves the colour blue - it matches her eyes, and so she loves the Ulysses butterfly so gently bestowing kisses on her nose. This signed original artwork was inspired by a photograph by Todd Trapani. I couldn't resist the elegant stretch of neck, posed as if waiting for a kiss, and this is where the idea of butterfly kisses came from - a memory of bestowing such gentle kisses on the eyes of my sleeping children when they were little. Created in Watercolour and Gouache on 300 gsm Canson paper in shades of blue, teal, burnt sienna, black. My thanks also go to @insituartroom for the room display
