SOLD - Spikey Flowers
SOLD 65 cms H x 45cm W - 'Spikey Flowers’ - This was an experiment with acrylic ink on Yupo paper to see how it flowed in comparison with Watercolour on the Yupo. In the event, I found myself using sharp, directional brushstrokes to achieve a result I was happy with, which was not my original intentinion - often the case with artworks. As I worked, the sharpness of the petals and their edgy shapes and directional forms reminded me of the sometimes unintentional sharpness of our words, the different directions conversations take from those we’d planned originally, and the often unforseen outcomes, as wtih this artwork. Food for thought….and mindfulness…. Thanks to @insituartroom for the room displays
