The Lone Swimmer
65 cms H x 45cm W - 'The Lone Swimmer.' Almost disappearing into the horizon is the figure of a lone swimmer - or should it be a lonely swimmer - being buffeted by the waves as he makes his way further and further away from the shore. How can we know what he is thinking? Is he swimming away from his past, from the regrets of his old life being left behind on the shifting sands, or is he swimming towards new horiizons and new beginnings? We may never know his story, but we can choose whether ours will be one of hope and new horizons, or regrets for days gone by. Ultramarine and Aquarmarine acrylic ink on Yupo paper.
